Post vacation - vacation

We're home from a fun filled vacation to Wisconsin Dells.  It actually went better than I thought it would. Which is sad, considering how I spent my first night. The four of us were in a room with two double beds, which posed the question, which kid will sleep with me when. Now logistically and from a SMART perspective, {A} should have slept with me all three nights. But {H} would never allow such a thing. So I gave her the first night. Also known as the night {A} kept waking up and screaming (did I mention we're sharing this condo with 11 other family members, 13 if you include the hub and H). He also fell out of bed.

I went out 2 of 4 days, with LOTS of sunscreen and still burned. My chest, back and arms look like I walked into a BBQ chip factory. My legs, which never to much as acknowledge the weather went from Clear -3 to Clear -1. Which means you can *ALMOST* no longer see through them. So the next night, {A} slept with me. Went much better. Also helped that his cough was getting under control (my kids both have my wicked awful allergies/sinuses). We went to a restaurant that night called Mexicali Rose (we go there every year) and they have the most stunning views. Enjoyed a margarita and fajitas. The boy fell asleep. Sitting up. In his chair. Before the food even came. He slept through dinner. Through the drive back. Through getting a pull up on and getting put to bed. He freaked out a couple times but didn't wake up completely. At all. Until 7am. I guess we wore him out.

The third might was similar, in that he slept decently, but for some reason he kept kicking, punching and slapping me in his sleep. I think he's Stewie Griffin incarnate.

So in summary....I was poolside with a drink in hand by 11 am one day. I enjoyed a margarita and fajitas with the fam with a beautiful view. My kids managed enough sleep quietly enough that they didn't wake up EVERYONE in the house. They had fun. I am sun burned and still like all the people we spent 3-4 days in a house with. I call that a vacation win.

Now we're going to spend the next few days and the weekend, recuperating. Picking up the house slowly (my house was DIRTY all day yesterday and I don't even care). I care today though. Duh. Oh and we're still standing after all the weather threats yesterday. We were threatened with flash flooding, tornadoes, severe thunderstorms and dinosaurs. All we got was lots of rain and thunder/lightning. Thankfully our basement is DRY! Holla!

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to...

No crying here today my lovelies. Not when I've got 28 of the most Tennant-tastic photos to celebrate with. Can I tell you a secret? That David Tennant cut out I have on my birthday list?
I REALLY freakin want it. So wish me luck.

One Tennant pic for each glorious year I've been on this great ball of dust!
Enjoy!

Absolutely terrified. I'd prefer the real David Tennant to show up. I'll settle for cardboardTennant.
